We run age-appr
opriate cyber safety sessions for 4th to 6th class primary school children and their parents, covering topics such as protecting online reputations, social networking, gaming, cyberbullying and much more. We know our stuff so our sessions are engaging, informative and highly interactive. We tailor them to be relevant to each group of children or parents.
Our parents talks are about 1 hour long and can be scheduled for the morning (after school drop-off) or in the evening in order to suit as many parents as possible. We can also provide talks for teachers and other groups to keep them up to date on what children are doing online and how they can help to ensure that their online experiences are safe and successful.
In addition to using our extensive expertise in this area, we consult on a regular basis with children and young people, teachers, schools and parents to help us keep our interactive sessions and messaging relevant to Irish children’s online experiences. We also work closely with leading Internet Safety organisations outside of Ireland so that everything we do takes into account international best practice in the online safety domain. Since January 2016, we have reached over 7000 Irish children directly through our CyberSafeSchools education programme.

The Internet Safety Talk was extremely informative both for me as a teacher and for my students. There had been a lot of misconceptions about internet use and safety which were explained well and in a way the students understood clearly. They really enjoyed it and have a much clearer understanding of how they can now and in the future use the internet in a manner to protect themselves.
