A world in which children are using technology in a safe, positive and successful manner

CyberSafeIreland is a not-for-profit organisation that works to empower children, parents and teachers to navigate the online world in a safe and responsible manner

Transparency: we will keep our financial and other working practices as transparent and accountable as possible. We will adopt and comply with the Governance Code, a code of practice for good governance of community, voluntary and charitable organisations in Ireland.

Stewardship: we will strive to be good stewards of all the resources entrusted to us.

Partnership: we will actively build partnership with other key stakeholders involved in addressing cybersafety issues with children. We will not work in isolation.

Be independent: we will value and uphold our independence as an organisation at all times.

Be child-centred: we will keep the well-being of children at the core of our work. We aim to empower children to enjoy technology in a safe and responsible manner.

We also believe that all people have a right to:

Dignity: we believe in the intrinsic dignity of every person. We work with all people regardless of race, gender, religion or politics.

Respect: we believe in the basic right for all individuals to be treated with respect both on and offline.

Protection from harm: our educational programme aims to empower children to protect themselves from the risks they may face online.
