These workshops, aimed at youth workers, social workers, gardai and carers of vulnerable children, aims to raise awareness of what children and young people are doing online, and associated risks and safeguards.
It is typically a 2.5 hour session with extra question time built in at the end to allow participants an opportunity to discuss individual concerns with our experienced facilitator. We provide guidance on the apps and games that children and young people are using.
We look at the risks that children and young people face, with a more in-depth look and group discussion on risks such as cyberbullying, sexting and online grooming and extortion. We offer advice on strategies for engaging in young people's digital lives and empowering them to use technology in a stronger, smarter and safer way
It was such a great, insightful session... I think everyone in our organisation should receive training from Cyber Safe Ireland
